The Ultimate Steal

There is a major deal going on with Microsoft and they are offering Microsoft Office 2007 Ultimate for $60 ($59.95 officially). I picked up a copy myself because I am waiting for my laptop and I was planning to pick up a copy of the Home and Office version for around $120 anyways and this is a much better deal. All you need to buy it at this price is a valid .edu email that you can confirm a link with (I believe your school must be approved as well). With this deal they are also offering Vista Ultimate Upgrade (PRODUCT RED, $64.95) and Office Vizio Professional 2007 ($55.95).

When you buy your copy of the software, it automatically opts you in for the DVD Media to be shipped to you (+$13, no shipping charges) and your total comes right out to $74.09. You will instantly be given your download link to your new software (~502 MB) and a product key.

This deal is running until December 31, 2010 so there is plenty of time to pick it up. My guess for the cheap price is that there will be a Office 2010 release. Although there might be some cool features that might come with that version, the features that come with 2007 are impressive compared to that of any previous versions. If it’s file compatibility you are worried about, Microsoft usually releases patches to allow older versions of office products to access the newer file formats.

I would reccomend this for those who need it for school or do not have legit versions.
